Built on a foundation of exacting and traditional craftsmanship, Solovair has been producing high quality shoes and work boots for over 140 years. The British brand was first formed as part of the Northamptonshire Productive Society in 1881 and, since 1899, has been based at the same purpose-built factory in Wollaston, Northamptonshire – the beating heart of the British shoemaking industry. The label produced Sole Of Air boots for Dr Martens until the 1990s and employs a meticulous manufacturing process that’s underpinned by expert tooling, innovative Goodyear welt technology and heavy-duty stitching done on vintage Puritan sewing machines.
